About Chuck Rogers
Chuck has taught music for over 30 years. He is an experienced State of Florida certified music teacher who has earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education with an emphasis in classical guitar. Chuck has performed and taught a variety of styles of guitar playing including, classical, finger style, electric, bluegrass, rock, jazz, and worship music. As a school music teacher, Chuck taught guitar, band, string orchestra, full orchestra, and general music in various school districts. Chuck also taught guitar at the Stetson University Community School of Music for over ten years.
Chuck peforms as solo guitarist and in a guitar flute duo with his wife, Laura Rogers. He has preformed with several small ensembles and orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, Jacksosnville Symphony Orchestra, and the St Augustine Orchestra. He has performed and worked in the studio with singer, song writer Joey Robertson, Contemporty Christian musicians, John Blake, and Steve Scheffler. He is currently the director of the St Johns Classical Guitar Ensemble.
Chuck is a Christian and loves sharing his faith in Jesus as a his savior. He knows personally the love that Jesus Christ has for all humanity, and his hope is that he will point people to the love that God has for the world.
